Francis Crick, one of the

Francis Crick, one of the "discoverers" of DNA (there's a whole back
story, complete with back stabbing to it if you're interested) has died
at the age of 88. He was jointly awarded the Nobel Prize in 1962 for
the work by James Watson and himself on the molecular structure of DNA.
