Last computer game post...promise [From Damnit!]

Ok I apologise for the rash of computer game related posted on here, from now on I will generally keep them on MySpareBrain. But in this last case I'll post it here, as it means that Damnit! can jump on the whole Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion bandwagon (albeit slightly late).

And for the sake of everyones sanity I'll put the bulk of this behind the jump...

I'm not generally a real RPG fan, Eve-online aside, but I'm going to have to make an exception in this case. I will jump on with the other gamining illuminaries (most of whom are much brighter than I) and say that Oblivion is quite simply the best looking game I have seen. PERIOD!

Its SOO good (and the hype so hyping..??) that in addition to the game I had to go out and (at 1830 on a Monday!) upgrade my graphics card. It looks AMAZING. No more the sparsely populated steps with 3 plants in 5m2. In this game you have freaking fields of plants, that move and shit! And thats on the MEDIUM setting...

The game looks great and plays well too, more than once I've nearly jumped out of my skin due to a sudden noise behind me. If you were ever looking for a sequel to the Thief series, Oblivion is a good selection. (As it stands my character is entirely built for sneaking up on people, long distance combat and stealing stuff. He's also a cat ;-) )

Anyway I'm going to leave it at that and just say: even if you have a distant passing interest in fantasy RPGs, or even going all the way back to D&D, take a look at this game. OK no multiplayer, but who wants everything?
